Mavlasia "Miklus Natural Art" 2020, Draga
In the heart of Friuli’s Collio hills, where vineyards have flourished since the 12th century, the Draga estate crafts its Malvasia “Miklus Natural Art.” From 55-year-old vines rooted in the distinctive ponca marl and sandstone soils, this wine captures the depth and minerality that make Collio one of Italy’s most celebrated regions. Fermented on the skins for 14 days and aged for two years in large oak barrels, it reflects both tradition and a bold, natural approach.
Golden yellow with amber reflections, this Malvasia opens with a broad bouquet of dried flowers, tropical fruit, sweet spice, and woodland aromas. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with vibrant minerality, citrus freshness, and a long, persistent finish. A wine of remarkable character and longevity, it offers an authentic taste of Collio — expressive, structured, and built to age gracefully.
